Halfway between a kids' bike and a mountain bike for adults, the Kid 240 has all the features of a full-sized bike - which makes it the ideal choice for growing riders who want to keep up with their friends and parents.
With a suspension fork, powerful v-brakes, 21 gears, a high quality aluminium frame and geometry optimised for youngsters, there's nothing standing in the way of an off-road adventure.
The heat-treated 6061 aluminium frame is just as durable as a real mountain bike, but still the right weight for a child. Mechanically formed tubes mean it's bang up to date in terms of technology. Kids' geometry was tailored to the needs of young Cube riders - it includes a very low top tube, which gives more freedom to move around on the bike. The derailleur hanger is also replaceable, because kids always want to test their limits.
The Kid 240 comes with a comfortable Suntour suspension fork and easy-to-use 3x7 gears controlled with Revo grips. When the climb gets too steep, the 34-tooth sprocket provides an easier bailout gear. Brake levers are specially designed for small hands, giving smooth control of the V-Brakes and plenty of power for early trail adventures.
A power modulator on the front brake prevents over-enthusiastic braking from resulting in an endo - or worse. Smooth, quiet-rolling and grippy Kenda tyres and the Prowheel triple crankset seal the deal.
